MONKFISH will be the banker of the week for many punters and he can duly get the job done. Big and backward in his younger days, he showed how he is improving on the job when battling to win last year's Albert Bartlett Novices' Hurdle and that has turned out to be excellent form. Unsurprisingly, this huge son of Stowaway has gone to a different level again since switching to fences, winning each of his three starts so far this season in impressive fashion, and there appears to be no chinks in his armour. He jumps and travels with ease, isn't short of pace but has stamina in abundance, clearly handles the track and is impossible to oppose in today's contest. Don't be surprised if he's lining up with a favourite's chance in next season's Gold Cup - he's that good. Eklat De Rire is a typically good jumper from the Henry De Bromhead stable and he looks the most likely front runner here. If left alone and getting into a nice rhythm, he could be the one to finish second, while The Big Breakaway clearly has lots of ability but he hasn't looked a natural over fences by any means.
