The Irish have dominated this race in recent years, winning six of the last seven runnings, and the trophy could be going over the pond again, with BOB OLINGER fancied to land the spoils for Henry De Bromhead and Rachael Blackmore. This strapping son of Sholokhov looked pretty special when winning his sole bumper outing at Gowran 12 months ago and he has done little wrong over hurdles since, building on a fine second behind last year's Champion Bumper scorer Ferny Hollow with two facile victories at Navan and Naas, the latter coming in Grade 1 company. The sky's the limit for this six-year-old at present and he is very much the one to beat this afternoon. Gaillard Du Mesnil arrives following a couple of impressive victories at Leopardstown but he's arguably taking on classier, faster types this time around, and Keskonrisk looks the one that's potentially overpriced. He ran a cracker over 2m behind Appreciate It at Christmas, a time when Joseph O'Brien's runners weren't firing on all cylinders, and may improve for this step up in trip. Challow Hurdle winner Bravemansgame looks best of the English contenders.
