FUSAIN disappointed on chase debut at Kilbeggan in June but comes here following a good run at Wexford latest. A capable mid 120s rated hurdler, he is well suited to summer ground at this trip and a reproduction of his Wexford run, finishing behind horses rated 130 (the winner) and 143 (runner-up) might be enough. Poseidon was a better hurdler, being rated 139 last April, but was 32L behind FUSAIN when making his chase debut in Wexford. Poseidon could improve for that run but might be more a long-term chasing prospect. Poseidon has also won at this trip but also won over 2m on the flat, suggesting he might ideally prefer slightly further. Grade 2-placed hurdler Fine Brunello is another capable type and while he has useful chase form, has a 330 day absence to overcome. The Cathal Don was well held on chase debut at Clonmel, while Santana Plessis makes his chase debut and could find a few too good. One Cool Poet, a five-time flat winner, was second here on his last start over fences, in July 2019, but should find a few more too strong today.
