A chance is taken on MAGIC PIPER in this competitive heat. Tom Gibney has his horses in excellent form of late and while the selection hasn't shown a lot so far, an improved performance can be expected from him now with just nine stone ten on his back. A respectable sixth on his penultimate start, after coming in for plenty of market support, the son of Tobougg again finished sixth on his most recent outing at Fairyhouse. Fierami is a more obvious contender and he is given second preference. A surprise 25/1 winner here last month, the son of Network will again be ridden by promising seven-pound claimer Jordan Gainford and it'll come as no surprise if he manages to follow-up. Hugh Morgan and Young Dev hit the headlines after their amazing win over fences recently and they are likely to have plenty of supporters in this two-and-a-half-mile contest. Song Of Earth and Forrard Away both won last time out and they warrant respect, while others for the shortlist are Castle Town House, Difficult Decision and Rebel Early.
