SANTA ROSSA hasn't been seen in over a year, but she has some very smart form to her name and sets the standard in this two-mile contest. A winner of a Grade 2 bumper on her second start, she performed with credit when pitched in against top-class rivals at Aintree and Punchestown respectively. Her debut effort over flights at Fairyhouse was encouraging and despite the lengthy layoff, it will be disappointing if she fails to account for her eighteen rivals here. A beaten odds-on favourite on her two starts in Ireland, Manitopark Aa is given second preference. The form of her most recent effort has worked out well, with the first and third both winning since. Bumper victors Lady Heath (first time hood) and Dreamingandhoping are both capable of making their presence felt, while others of note are Cathmart Desjy and newcomer Bealnablath, who is a half-sister to smart stable companion Treacysenniscorthy.
