J P McManus and Gigginstown House Stud have this to themselves. Gigginstown have the numbers with Cavalry Master and Embittered doing battle for them, but McManus could have the last laugh with his Gordon Elliott handled runner, ANDY DUFRESNE looking strong. This observer happened to be present when the Doyen gelding won his point-to-point at Borris House in March 2018. He was then in the ownership of Camilla Sharples. However McManus wasn't long about stepping in for the attractive gelding. A Grade Two winning novice hurdler since, Andy Dufresne made a winning start over racecourse fences at Wexford in October. The local hope won his maiden hurdle at this venue and he can see off Embittered. He put in a pleasing first outing over the larger obstacles at this track and trip when second to Easywork 27 days back. Embittered can come on from that to at least shake up Andy Dufresne.
