Stony Man has been edging the right way on his three runs under rules and cannot be discounted with Champion Jockey Harry Skelton taking the ride, but this contest appears to be the battle of the debutants between Kincardine and MASSIMO. Both Nicky Henderson (37%) and Paul Nicholls (42%) boast a tremendous record at this venue in the last five years and, although the Henderson-trained four-year-old could be a top-class hurdler in time, his pedigree suggests his best exploits may be over further and Megan Nicholls' mount gets the vote to shed his maiden tag at the first time of asking, with relations on the flat hinting that he may have a speed edge over his rivals.
