The form of PIRATE JENNY's debut Navan run is working out well and progression can be expected, having finished that race well. The winner, third, fourth and sixth placed horses have each won maidens on their respective next starts and PIRATE JENNY is herself well-bred, being a half-sister to a Group 2 winner. Ecoutez also showed ability on debut and while she needs to improve to win, progression is very likely being a half-sister to four black-type performers including a Group 3 winner and she also represents a yard in exceptional form. Ballydoyle's Scholar was a 350,000gns yearling purchase, is a half-brother to Swedish and Hong Kong winners and is out of a placed dam whose half-sister was a Group 2 winner. There is plenty pace in Tea Party's smart pedigree, being out of a Group 1 winning mare and by Group 1 winning, first-season stallion Caravaggio. She is also a sibling to seven winners and should be capable. Coolmeen Royal, a sibling to six winners, was a Gbp90,000 breeze-up purchase in May and should run well. Love Whisper was well held on debut but showed ability.

CLARA'S APPROACH will be suited by the forecast rain, having won well at Naas last month. Ordinary in three runs as a juvenile, she entered the handicap system from a low level this year, met some trouble in-running on her initial two handicap starts before winning well at Naas, and can cope with an 8lbs rise. Inventor himself met a little trouble in-running at Roscommon and having previously won on easy ground at Tipperary in April, should run well from just 1lb higher today. Boughtinthedark is suited to soft ground and has fallen back down the ratings while Colin Keane is a notable booking for Davitt, which showed bits of useful handicap form in the summer. Cornish Rock debuts for a new trainer having shown little for John Oxx as a juvenile and has now dropped to the basement 45 rating.

MACHO TIME returned to form when second on yielding to soft ground at Naas and will have no problem with the forecast rain softening the ground. MACHO TIME, a dual UK winner, was rated 86 as a juvenile and having recaptured some of his form at Naas, looks likely to win from a 1lb lower rating. Secret Road, out of a winning dam whose half-sister was a Group 3 winner, has shown ability in handicaps, coped with easy ground at Sligo and being an unexposed 3yo, is open to plenty progression. Faraah finished ahead of Secret Road in that Sligo race and having won at Fairyhouse subsequently, now meets Secret Road 5lbs worse off, with the pair having solid claims. Indian Rose was behind the selection at Naas and was beaten here subsequently but is capable at this level while Florence Thompson was second in that recent Cork race but was well held on easy ground at Listowel latest. Rocky Dreams was slowly away before staying on here earlier this month and can get involved. Intervention has been running well but is winless in 18 starts.
