Caribeno made it six on the bounce when scoring over C&D on Wednesday and Sir Mark Prescott's gelding would prove a tough nut to crack if turned out quickly. Songkran won at Newcastle on his latest start when dropped back to 1m2f but the step back up in distance may prove to be his undoing. With that in mind, the vote goes to BYFORD as he scored comfortably on his handicap bow here last time, when landing the hat-trick, and the four-year-old is capable of taking another step forward. Crimson King, like the others, arrives in winning form but he will need to improve to be in the mix.
