He showed some encouraging signs at Cartmel on his first run since having a wind operation where, despite getting detached, he stayed on well at the finish. Despite the small field it was a strong-looking race and he should now have more confidence, which means improvement might be on the cards and he could have a live chance. Methodtothemadness may also feature if he can bounce back from a disappointing run at Cartmel.

The progressive SEA PRINCE looks the one to beat in this contest after a good win at Cartmel, and this could be a good opportunity for him to make it three wins from six career starts. Miss M shaped like she will benefit for the drop back to this trip at Fontwell so she may be one of the main protagonists, while Just Call Me Al may be more competitive over hurdles on his first run since having a wind operation.

An added 7lb from the handicapper won't make his task easier, and he may struggle to cope with PRINCE DUNDEE, who likes it here with three wins and three places from eight starts. Dropped in grade he can go close with a clear round, after a blunder ended his chances here last time out. Dutch Canyon is back to a mark he has won from before, and is another to consider.
