My Renaissance has won four times over this trip at Sedgefield, and is now back to the same mark as his latest success in September last year. He could go well, but at the age of 11 he may find the much younger GOUET DES BRUYERES improves past him here. Only five, he has already had eight starts over fences, winning at Wetherby and placing at Taunton and Market Rasen, and looks all set for a good season. G'day Aussie is interesting back over fences after winning over hurdles at Market Rasen and could also get involved in the finish.

Clever As A Fox was beaten a long way when second at Stratford on his chasing debut but is worth another chance if he can transfer his hurdling form to fences, and stepped up in trip looking for improvement. Delight Of Dubai was second over course and distance in July and won over further at Newton Abbot off 5lb lower and has to be considered, but FRAU GEORGIA could be the one. She showed much improved form to win easily at Perth earlier in the month by nine lengths, and an added 10lb may not stop her following up here.

With no guaranteed early pace in this field there is every chance that ZULU DAWN will be forced to make his own running here, and if he jumps more fluently than he did when runner up at Uttoxeter, jockey Lilly Pinchin may be able to hold off the attention of her pursuers. Imperial Knight is better over even further on recent evidence with a win over three and a quarter miles in April and won't want a slow early pace as seems likely, while Irish Sovereign has been beaten 30 lengths plus on all three starts and has to improve.

Strong cases can be made for several of these but BLUE SANS comes here in prime form, and he is selected to follow up a recent C&D success off 5lb lower. A winner of two of her four starts over hurdles, the selection can get the better of fellow C&D winner Translink, who may find things tougher up in grade. I'm So Busy ought to find this a touch easier after a listless display at Newton Abbott last month.

Runner-up on each of his last three starts, including twice over C&D, the Westerner gelding is almost certain to be thereabouts under new partner Angus Cheleda. Chosen Shant is another who ran with credit on his latest outing over C&D and he looks dangerous off a workable mark. Manintheshadows and Dynamic Kate are both worth considering as well.
