PEAKED TOO SOON was an impressive winner on his hurdling debut at Southwell earlier in the month and that form suggests that he will be hard to beat this afternoon. Ambassador has filled second place in all three starts since winning at Hereford in March and he could repeat that once again. The rest look to be up against it but Snow Leopard is arguably the pick of them.

Ernesto is another on a hat-trick, while Sebastopol and South Terrace keep bumping into one. Dal Horrisgle needs to improve on what he has achieved in two outings to date over timber, but a reproduction of his Flat form would give him obvious claims. Mister Sweets finished second at Aintree on his Rules debut and the drop in trip may bring about improvement.
