LECALE'S ARTICLE won between the flags in 2018 and made a winning start to life under Rules when justifying odds-on favouritism in a maiden hurdle at Newbury in December. There is likely better to come from Nicky Henderson's charge, who shades the vote ahead of exciting prospect Stellar Magic, who is similarly unbeaten after securing back-to-back hurdling successes at Taunton. Artemision was not disgraced on his hurdling bow at Ludlow and could build on that, while Party Fuzz showed a lot more promise in bumpers than when well beaten on his hurdling debut at Wincanton.

Kuraka has placed on his last couple of outings and can remain competitive off a 1lb higher mark, while Guernesey also merits shortlist inclusion following a solid runner-up effort on his handicap debut at Wincanton. Pop The Cork struggled over further at Wetherby last time but may be better judged on his close second at Uttoxeter in December, though preference is for AMARILLO SKY, who could land the spoils on his debut in handicap company. This represents the five-year-old's easiest task to date and his stable have hit a bit of form recently.

ALLMANKIND has looked very impressive in two starts over fences this season and could dominate this small field to land a hat-trick. He showed a tendency to jump left when landing Grade 1 honours at Sandown last time so could be even better going this way around. Sky Pirate has been a revelation since being dropped back to 2m this term and would be considered the main danger here. Cheddleton has been emphatic in two successes over fences recently and is well worth considering, while Sacre Coeur needs to improve in this company.

PAUL'S SAGA is a Grade 1 hurdles winner in France for David Cottin and is expected to take all of the beating on these terms if she runs to her best. C&D winner Molly Ollys Wishes arrives on a hat-trick and commands plenty of respect in her current mood, though, like the rest of the field, she is probably vying for minor money at best behind the selection. Eglantine Du Seuil is another with claims at the weights, while Dolcita was second in the mares' novice hurdle at Cheltenham last March and sprts a tongue tie and has had wind surgery ahead of this first start for Fergal O'Brien.
