Oleksandra took the Grade 1 Jaipur Stakes at Belmont in June and is feared, with Texas Wedge, who was third on that occasion, also noted representing a handler with a fine recent record in this race.

Knicks Go has impressed so far this term when racking up a brace of victories and could have a big say stepping into Grade 1 company. However, preference is for COMPLEXITY, who avenged a narrow defeat in the Forego Stakes when a comfortable winner of a Belmont Grade 2 last time. Art Collector saw his five-race winning run come to an end when fourth in the Preakness Stakes but is given plenty of respect here, while Jesus' Team (third) was a place ahead in that Pimlico Grade 1 and can't be ignored.

The US have kept this prize on their own waters in four of the last eight years and Chad Brown has been the winning trainer on each of those occasions. The esteemed handler relies on four this time, though his first pick is probably Rushing Fall, who has won her last three and accounted for Mean Mary (second) in a Grade 1 at Saratoga in August. That being said, the Europeans do well in this race and conditions look perfect for CAYENNE PEPPER. The three-year-old appreciates a sound surface and could defy a wide draw in stall 14 for Jessica Harrington.

Yaupon remains unbeaten after three starts but has a double figure draw to overcome, while Firenze Fire could be worth adding to any combination bets.

Uni and Factor This are others who can figure if their wide draws can be overcome.

Channel Maker and Arklow look best of the home contingent, while it's difficult to rule out Lord North, who disappointed in the Champion Stakes last time but the Prince Of Wales's scorer will be much happier on this quicker surface. However, it's the Irish runners that make most appeal, with MAGICAL taken to get the better of stablemate Mogul and Tarnawa, who impressed when winning the Prix de l'Opera last time. Aidan O'Brien's wonderfully consistent mare is a seven-time winner at the top level, she is enjoying another excellent season and can go one better than when chasing home the recently retired Enable in this contest two years ago.

Bob Baffert has a very strong hand here, saddling three runners all with excellent chances, and it's his IMPROBABLE who gets the vote. He was hugely impressive when turning over top-class stablemate Maximum Security in the Awesome Again Stakes at Santa Anita in September and a repeat performance will make him tough to beat. The latter still has a sparkling CV and will put up a good fight, while Kentucky Derby one/two Authentic and Tiz The Law add further spice to the race.
