The first juvenile hurdle of the season was an eventful affair at Roscommon on Tuesday last, with just seven finishers from sixteen starters. ETERNAL PRESENCE is one of five who ran at Roscommon that are turned out again here. The Joseph O'Brien trained gelding filled the runner-up spot at the western venue and with that experience under his belt, he can be expected to go one place better now. Project Two, Television and Whipsaw were third, fourth and fifth at Roscommon, with the former given second preference under seven-pound claimer Nicholas Terrassin. Grand Revival, Li Mu Bai and Calvados are others for the shortlist. Second reserve Feigh, for Willie Mullins and Paul Townend, would change the complexion of the race if getting a run.

ABOUTAGOUT, who is a full-brother to dual Grade 1 winner Jers Girl, would be a deserving winner of this. The son of Jeremy has been placed on his last four starts, chasing home Purple Mountain at Galway on his most recent outing. Darragh O'Keeffe takes over in the saddle aboard the Flan Costello trained eight-year-old and it'll be disappointing if he can't take advantage of this good opportunity. The selection is rated 107 and Vermillion Cliffs is just two pounds inferior on a mark of 105. He has been disappointing on his last two starts but finished a good third on his debut over flights at Wexford in June. Turkestan has filled the runner-up spot on his last two starts and he is given second preference. He was probably given too much to do on his most recent outing at Sligo and it'll come as no surprise if he manages to make the breakthrough here. Choir Practice, Wrinkle In Time and Gaelic Ard are others that warrant respect.

He has some decent bumper form to his name and while he disappointed on his hurdles debut, he is surely capable of better.
