The Gosden partnership has a few darts to throw at this intriguing novice contest with newcomers A Cappella and Shaara both worth considering, but, they may be outdone by ELLENCARNE. Connections of the selection can do no wrong at present, and this is likely to be another winner that can keep the ball rolling. Both Show Me Now and Mais Oui Marlene have ground to make up with the daughter of Dark Angel, and it may be the returning Cousins Joy, who can give her most to do.

POCKET THE PROFIT has to carry 12lb in penalties after wins at Wolverhampton and Newcastle on two consecutive days earlier this month, and although this is a big ask under his new weight, he still seems to be going from strength to strength. Irish Millions is interesting in first-time cheekpieces for a yard in good form and is well worth a market watch, while Hilary's Boy is hard to gauge as he only does just enough to win, but still has a chance of landing his hat-trick here despite a rise in class.

Voi is interesting for a place for a trainer who invariably gets the best out of his horses, but MOUNTRATH could be the one. A close up second in a Lingfield claimer last time out, she makes her handicap debut off a mark of 54, which may yet underestimate her true abilities.

Flower Of Thunder won over course and distance in a lesser race by 10 lengths in August but is rated 12lb higher now, and GLEN ESK appeals more. Three wins in a row over the summer saw him upped in class without success, but he is coming back down the handicap and could find this far easier.
