There is not many better in the business at shrewd purchases than Mick Appleby, and he looks to have another one on his hands in the shape of TWENTYSHARESOFGREY. A recent C&D winner, he can follow up here off 4lb higher with more improvement likely. Tommytwohoots should also enter the reckoning going by his good track record, although he remains a maiden through nine starts. Sky Blue Thinking is interesting on her first start for Adam West, while The Chain also makes the shortlist for her in-form connections.

Disappointing on soft ground last month at Chester, SUCELLUS is fancied to bounce back to the form of his Haydock win here. Running off 6lb higher and with Megan Nicholls back on board, Oliver Greenall's charge was a winner on his only start here back in December 2018 when with John Gosden. John Jasper has a good course record but his 0-16 career record certainly doesn't inspire confidence. Calonne and dual all-weather winner Ghost Rider are worthy of consideration.

MUSHIRIF has shown promise throughout his career having finished behind the likes of Adayar and John Leeper on his first two starts before running on into fourth at Bath last time. The step up to 1m4f on his handicap debut can see him take the step forward required for him to shed the maiden tag. Maketh Believeth has been running with credit of late, including when a neck second over C&D last month, and he is expected to go close along with Punta Arenas, who wears cheekpieces having finished fourth in the aforementioned contest at the track.

ARTHUR'S VICTORY was always doing enough when gaining her first success at Epsom last month and the daughter of Buratino commands the utmost respect off a 4lb higher mark. Across The Nile shaped as though the step up to 7f would benefit her when fourth at Yarmouth last time and she is of interest on her handicap debut, while Urtzi could bounce back from a disappointing effort having won here on his penultimate start.

Newcomers Falafel and Hierarchy could have their say in the outcome of this as both represent in-form stables, but it might be best to focus on FOZZIE BEAR. Roger Charlton's gelding was beaten two noses in a blanket finish at Lingfield on debut and followed that up with a solid third there last time. Evidently at home on all-weather surfaces, he could strike with cheekpieces fitted for the first time. Tyson failed to land a blow at Newmarket last time but has claims on his previous form, including when second in a decent nursery two starts ago.

Secret Handsheikh comes out much the best at the weights on official figures, but he tends to save his best for the Fibresand at Southwell and has been out of form on turf of late. Bombastic won in this grade over a furlong further here last time and could be a factor, but this could go the way of MERRY SECRET. Mick Appleby's charge went close in a handicap at Brighton recently and comes into this in good heart. The selection's stablemate Seas Of Elzaam has to give weight all round but ran well when last tried at this track.
