Discomatic opened his account in a maiden at Chelmsford last time and looks on a workable mark now going handicapping, while Deep Impression is rated only 2lb higher than when winning here in January and could also feasibly finish on the premises.

DABIRSTAR was touched off by just a head over C&D last time but is expected to take another forward step for her master handler and strike at the third attempt. Olympic Theatre has been off the track since finishing fourth over 1m2f at Newmarket in October and is worth keeping tabs on in the betting. Real Terms wasn't beaten far at Newcastle last time and could also take a hand on these terms.

KOMMANDER KIRKUP found just one too good here last month when a 25/1 shot and deserves greater respect this time from the layers. The 10-year-old isn't the force of old, but that effort marked a return to form and this isn't a strong race. Love Baileys finished third at Wolverhampton in January and would be interesting if transferring that form to Fibresand, while Star Act remains open to improvement on just her third start for Karl Burke after moving from Ireland.

Smokey has won two of her last three races, including here two weeks ago, but she has gone up 4lb and Rhys Clutterbuck's claim has dropped 2lb since the pair last combined. Duke Of Firenze beat Qaaraat (second) when last racing on Fibresand a month ago and is fancied to confirm that running.

Most of these have claims but the vote goes to SPEED COMPANY, who was not disgraced in a competitive Class 2 handicap when last seen on the Flat at Goodwood in October. Down in grade today the veteran could be hard to beat off a 2lb lower mark. Aria Rose was only narrowly denied in his bid for a four-timer last time and he cannot be discounted. Charlie Arthur is another with valid form claims, while Sans Logique has some questions to answer.

Khatm would have leading claims if taking up this engagement but he was declared to run at Kempton yesterday. With that in mind, preference is for MOTAWAAFEQ, who is a C&D winner that scored over 7f here two starts ago. The five-year-old disappointed last time but it is far too soon to be writing him off. Wrath Of Hector was successful over 6f at this track a week ago and the step up in trip should not be a problem. Others to consider are Love Your Work and Maykir.
