Well Planted shaped with encouragement on his first start over timber when finishing second at Ayr last month and he commands respect. However, preference is for Irish point-to-point winner JUNGLE JACK, who comes from a rich National Hunt family and he has joined an leading operation in Donald McCain to strike on his hurdles bow. First Angel is also considered if building on his latest third at Leicester which has subsequently been franked.

Donald Mc Cain looks to have given former Cheltenham Festival winner MISTER WHITAKER a new lease of life since reverting to hurdles and he can double up here on the back of a relatively comfortable success at Kelso. Rated as high as 153 in his prime over fences, Brian Hughes' mount should still have plenty leeway off his hurdles mark as he looks to fend off the attentions of No Word Of A Lie, who would hold strong claims if bouncing back to the form of his Fontwell second. Bridge North is another to consider.

CILLUIRID continued his progression over fences when registering his third win at this course on his latest start, once again travelling with ease and having an enormous amount in hand. The seven-year-old can continue on the upward curve and get the better of the Charlie Longsdon-trained The Mighty Arc, who justified market support when scoring at Worcester three weeks ago. Sounds Russian made an encouraging start over the larger obstacles when finishing fourth at this track last month and also makes the shortlist.

The market spoke very positively about STROLL ON BY on his debut at Carlisle in October and, having only been narrowly denied by a more experienced rival, the four-year-old holds excellent claims with Brian Hughes once again in the plate. Summergrounds shaped with promise on his first racecourse outing at Kelso in May and commands the utmost respect, while Eden Mill gave the impression he would learn plenty from his first racecourse experience at Musselburgh and is also worth considering.
