0.73 PAROS (FR); 7.50 THE WORTHY BRAT (IRE); 8.00 HUDSON DE GRUGY (FR); 10.00 PHOENIX AQUILUS (IRE); ROYAUME UNI (IRE); 11.00 AND BETTER OTHERS.
Preview:
Paros is the obvious starting point here having won over hurdles at Dieppe in France during the spring before being purchased by Middleham Park and sent to Nicky Henderson, who does so well with such types. The third from that race was beaten on stable debut for Paul Nicholls earlier in the season and that does bring a slight question mark over the form. Gary Moore has won this race three times since 2013 and relies on Hudson De Grugy and ROYAUME UNI. The latter won on the Flat for Andre Fabre at Angers in June on soft ground and, being the choice of Jamie Moore, is fancied to strike on his first UK start.

0.25 GRAND MOGUL (IRE); 7.50 GOLDEN BOY GREY (FR); 10.00 MICKYH (IRE); 11.00 AND BETTER OTHERS.
Preview:
GRAND MOGUL proved disappointing in Grade 2 company at Cheltenham three weeks ago, though he previously showed plenty of promise when winning on reappearance at Chepstow in October and could get back on track in these calmer waters. The six-year-old would be difficult to stop if running to his official rating of 130, and won't mind this drop in distance having won a bumper in Ireland over two miles. Golden Boy Grey cost 43,000 euros as a three-year-old and can claim second ahead of Mickyh, who is a half-brother to the talented Flash The Steel.

Preview:
CHASAMAX remains a maiden after six starts for Nicky Henderson, though he showed plenty when third in a competitive Cheltenham handicap most recently and could relish this test. A 3lb rise still leaves him fairly handicapped off 118 and the five-year-old could have too much pace for Fifty Ball, who drops in distance after winning over 2m4f at Ascot in October. Frenchy Du Large found just one too good at Uttoxeter three weeks ago and represents a yard hitting top form.

2.25 ALLMANKIND; 3.00 HITMAN (FR); 4.50 ELDORADO ALLEN (FR); GA LAW (FR); 7.00 TAMAROC DU MATHAN (FR); 10.00 PHOENIX WAY (IRE).
Preview:
ALLMANKIND continues to surprise over obstacles having made up into a leading juvenile over hurdles last season, having raced far too keenly on the Flat for Michael Bell, before switching to fences at Warwick last time. His jumping was terrific on that occasion, the form receiving a boost when the runner-up scored at Newbury last weekend, and the seven fences down the back straight should play to his strengths here. Ga Law and Hitman have both been impressive over the larger obstacles, also making use of the four-year-old allowance like the selection, but their recent victories, at Wincanton and Ffos Las respectively, came in contests that fell apart. With that in mind, Eldorado Allen could prove to be the main threat following his Cheltenham success last month and has made a decent step forward for going chasing. Tamaroc Du Mathan and Phoenix Way are no back numbers either with the pair having both won nicely on their chase debut.

0.80 ALTIOR (IRE); 4.00 POLITOLOGUE (FR); 5.00 GREANETEEN (FR); 7.00 ROUGE VIF (FR); 11.00 AND BETTER OTHERS.
Preview:
Last season didn't go to plan for ALTIOR when suffering his first defeat over obstacles in a match-up against Cyrname at Ascot on testing ground which left its mark on the pair of them. He got back on track in the Game Spirit at Newbury before a splint ruled him out of attempting to land the Champion Chase for the third year running. Connections have been positive with regards his preparation and a recent blow out at Newbury's Ladbrokes media morning with stable companion Epatante should have put him spot on for his return to action. Politologue was the chief benefactor of Altior's absence at Cheltenham in March when also taking full advantage of Defi Du Seuil underperforming and is reunited with Harry Skelton once again. He is likely to give it his best shot from the front with his stablemate Greaneteen, a winner of the Haldon Gold Cup at Exeter last month, and impressive Cheltenham handicap scorer Rouge Vif capable of further progression.

CLOUDY GLEN romped to an easy victory over an extended 3m3f at Fontwell last month and is expected to take an 11lb rise in his stride to follow up over this longer trip. Classic Ben won over 3m here last year and warmed up for this assignment with a solid reappearance second at Exeter, which could have put him spot on for this. The pick of the remainder may be Crosspark, who was beaten by less than a length over 3m here last time and has stamina in abundance, having finished runner-up in the 2019 Scottish Grand National.

2.50 MISTER COFFEY (FR); 6.00 SOLO (FR); 6.50 GALICE MACALO (FR); 7.00 ROSIE AND MILLIE (IRE); 8.00 BENSON; EGLANTINE DU SEUIL (FR); NICKOLSON (FR); 11.00 AND BETTER OTHERS.
Preview:
It is difficult to forget the ease with which Solo trounced his rivals in the Adonis but after subsequent beatings in the Triumph and Elite hurdles, Paul Nicholls four-year-old has a little to prove for the time being. He is therefore reluctantly opposed in favour of MISTER COFFEY, who left a favourable impression when romping to a five-length victory over track and trip last month. He's on the up and appears the most likely winner. Benson, Nickolson and Rosie And Millie have viable place claims.
