Proclivity ran on strongly for second on debut at Beverley last time but the winner has disappointed off a mark of 78 in a nursery since, so Richard Fahey's 72-rated FORM OF PRAISE is preferred. Second at Beverley two starts ago, she ran another solid race when third at Doncaster last time and could be the one to beat in this. Josies Kid has earned a rating of 75 with some solid efforts in defeat at Lingfield and Yarmouth so must be respected, while any market support for newcomer Ardom's Lady could be worth heeding.

A couple of last-time-out winners - drawn next to one another - appeal most, with JUST A CLAIM edging the vote ahead of Kendred Fire. Roger Fell's charge was impressive when switched to nurseries at Haydock last time, battling bravely before asserting close home, and a 5lb rise looks fair. Kendred Fire's win at Thirsk was impressive and as he had a 74-rated horse back in third that day, a mark of 70 looks generous. Bungley went close off her current mark at Musselburgh and could go well again, while Isladaay and Straits Of Moyle are others with claims.

BARN OWL just held on for victory over a furlong shorter here last time and followed that up with a fair second over 10 furlongs at Sandown. Roger Charlton's colt edges the vote ahead of Chalk Stream, who won well at York latest, while Carrigillihy was awarded the race over this track and trip last month but found life tough when fifth at Thirsk last time. Grantley and Chase The Dollar also have a chance in a trappy heat.

Preview:

Blu Boy has won three of his last five starts, including at Beverley in July when getting up in the final strides for a neck success, and he may find this tougher off 2lb higher. Fast Medicine is lightly raced and may improve for the step up to a mile after running on in to second over shorter at Catterick, but COSMOS RAJ gets weight from all his rivals. A comfortable length winner at Newmarket last time, a 4lb rise seems fair and with James Doyle retaining the ride, he should go well despite the step up in class.

Stay Smart won over course and distance off this mark in April and represents David O'Meara, who won this race in 2013, 2014, and 2018, so he seems likely to put in a bold effort. Atiyah won very easily on the all-weather at Wolverhampton and would be a force to reckon with if he can transfer that form to the turf, but preference is for KRAKEN POWER. Only beaten half a length at Musselburgh in a better race, he races here off the same handicap mark and can get involved if he is able to repeat that effort.

Come On Linda looked to be coming to her peak when a length third at Carlisle last week and as she runs off the same mark here, less William Pyle's 8lb claim, she could well be a player once again. MIKMAK bounced back to form when winning very comfortably at Pontefract in a class four handicap and a 4lb penalty may not be enough to stop him following up, despite having to carry top-weight here. Lukoutoldmakezebak is the only course and distance winner in the field, but needs to do better than he has recently to get involved at the finish.
