Bullet Force has finished second in both starts at Sandown and was only caught late on over further last time out. Back in trip today, he looks to have every chance here. Animato showed plenty of promise when third at Catterick on debut and looked likely to improve for the experience, but DEVASBOY could be tough to pass. A well-held fourth at Goodwood in a maiden on his debut, he weakened on the softer ground that day but should find both the company and the going more to his liking here.

Preview:

Major Snugfit won a similar race at Beverley last month and, although beaten over hurdles since, merits respect. Yukon wasn't beaten far when second over this trip in a maiden handicap last time and ought to be able to get involved here too, but NATURAL VALUE is the best of these on official ratings and could prove hard to beat. A repeat of his Hamilton third in July may well be good enough in this company getting 9lb from his older rivals.

Donizetti seems sure to prove popular after getting back up to win narrowly here over shorter on his first start after wind surgery, but a 6lb penalty and a quick return may not be ideal. ESTICKY END made all to win a selling handicap at Thirsk in July but was slowly away last time before fading close home. He can do much better with a level break here and could yet come home alone. Volkova is weighted to turn Thirsk form around with Esticky End but may not be as well suited by this trip.

Narrowly denied at Hamilton last week, the progressive son of Dandy Man can hold off a host of largely exposed rivals. Veteran Economic Crisis included, who has seven course wins to her name, and Koropick. Militia could pose the biggest threat though as he steps back up to 6f.

Course form can count for so much around here and TOMORROW'S ANGEL has just that after winning with authority over 2m at this venue in June. Since then, she finished comfortably behind the in-form Wynford at Newcastle, for which she is a sizeable 8lb better off here. Gift Of Raaj was a further half a length behind on that occasion and has since won well at Redcar over shorter, so must also warrant respect. Former course winner Three Castles has lost his way a bit but is capable of bouncing back.

EQUATE hasn't been disgraced in two starts since returning from a gelding operation and promises to step up now returning to the minimum distance. The Bryan Smart-trained gelding is favoured in this three-year-old contest, with Denzil's Laughing fancied to give him most to do having performed well when second over course and distance on his latest start. Rory still looks capable of better and is also noted.
