Azets, a dual course winner, has strung a number of solid performances together and he looks sure to give another good account. Zulu Girl and Mr Mac are others to note.

VITESSE DU SON has been running quite well for a while now, but the handicapper still loosened his grip slightly and Stuart Kittow's gelding took full advantage over C&D. He is up 4lb for that but is preferred to Lets Go Lucky, who has been revitalised by the switch to the Phil McEntee yard, judging by her Brighton second. Bernard Spierpoint and Roca Magica are worth some thought as well.

In hindsight, GOLDEN RAINBOW's debut defeat when sent off at odds-on at Brighton wasn't as disappointing as first appeared because the winner came out and followed up in the Lily Agnes at Chester. Archie Watson's youngster can reward those who keep the faith, although it won't be easy if Banner Moonshine builds on her Salisbury introduction even slightly. Mayson filly Angle Land is the most interesting of the newcomers.

The return to more positive tactics did the trick for Lethal Blast, who made all over C&D at the end of last month. She was only fourth to Hey Ho Let's Go here a month previously, though, when AGUEROOO filled the runner-up berth. The Charlie Wallis-trained sprinter is 8lb better off with the winner and may be able to gain his revenge, with subsequent performances proving satisfactory from both.

Spirit Mixer made a pleasing comeback at Wolverhampton and merits consideration, as does the first-time-visored Copake.
