MITROSONFIRE faced a difficult task at the weights in a sales race at Newmarket last time but is better judged on his preceding efforts, which included a C&D maiden second in June. William Muir's charge is fairly weighted off 70 on that evidence and could bounce back to form on his nursery bow. Run Forrest Run has been raised 2lb for his track-and-trip second latest but can fight it out with Colorando, who attracted market support at Newcastle when last sighted, for the silver medal.

Mused failed to reward favourite backers on her debut at Newmarket last month but the heavy ground may have been against her on that occasion. More can be expected from Hugo Palmer's filly today but it may be best to side with NAPPER TANDY, who was only beaten a short head by a rival with previous race experience on his debut at Lingfield. That form was boosted when the winner was narrowly denied in a nursery on his next outing and this son of Mukhadram should only benefit from that experience. Papas Dream was sent off at 200/1 on his debut over 7f here recently but he was not disgraced on that occasion and has an each-way chance.

ECHO BEACH has gone close to winning on multiple occasions and that includes a close fourth-placed finish at York last time. A reproduction of that performance would give him a big chance of getting off the mark today. Mr Marvlos put in a promising display on his debut at Chelmsford last month and he could prove to be the main threat to the selection. Paquita is closely related to plenty of winners and she merits a market inspection.

DADDY FRANK, who is out of a half-sister to the dual US Grade 1 winner Stay Thirsty, displayed plenty of promise when finishing a neck second on his racecourse debut over 7f at Newcastle late last month. With that experience now under his belt, the son of Frankel should take plenty of beating this evening. Third Realm is arguably the most interesting newcomer, given that he is a half-brother to the Group 1 winner Ajman Princess as well as Cape Byron and Ostilio. It should also be noted that he is bred on the same Sea The Stars/Mark Of Esteem cross as Crystal Ocean and the Group 2 scorer Across The Stars. Orchestral, Possible Man and Mobaadel are other debutants who could go well.

Almodovar commands plenty of respect on these terms as he's a course winner and was competing at Group 1 level when last sighted. In view of his 906-day absence, however, he's passed over on his first start for Ed Walker, with hat-trick seeker JOHAN getting the vote instead. Mick Channon's three-year-old receives a weight-for-age allowance from the first-named as well as Khuzaam, who is another highly-rated rival returning from a break. Kinross hasn't gone on as hoped since finishing sixth in the 2000 Guineas but cannot be ruled out at this level.

ON TO VICTORY returned an impressive winner in the November Handicap and it is possible this step up in trip can help him shake off a 6lb rise as he bids to notch a quick double. C&D winner Soghan is feared most from the foot of the handicap, though this appears a competitive heat and chances also have to be given to Cesarewitch fifth Rock Eagle and Lucky Deal, who is entitled to be sharper for his comeback spin at Pontefract last month.

Pirate King won three on the spin over this distance at Lingfield last winter and is interesting returning from nearly nine months off the track. However, preference is for JOHNNY DRAMA, who was back to his best with a comfortable victory over 1m3f here recently. He relished his first taste of the Kempton Polytrack on that occasion and could take plenty of beating following a fair 6lb rise. Tulip Fields had the selection well held when they met on similar terms at Doncaster last month and is another to consider.

GREY D'ARS has been knocking on the door of late, including when placing over course and distance three starts ago, and Nick Littmoden's consistent performer could finally get his turn to strike with Ray Dawson, removing a valuable 3lb with his claim, in the saddle. Glendun was a runner-up off this mark at Yarmouth in July and has been kept busy over hurdles since. Twpsyn was a winner at Redcar earlier this month and can't be ignored, while Tundra, Redgrave and My Poem are others who make appeal in this competitive heat.
