MY DROGO was an impressive Grade 2 winner at Ascot in December and that form took a massive boost when the third came out and won the Betfair Hurdle. This son of Milan could well take another step forward, on what is only his third hurdles start, and is very much the one to beat. Bareback Jack hasn't put a foot wrong in three outings over timber and he rates the biggest threat, ahead of Cheltenham runner-up Any News.

Definitly Red won this last year for Brian Ellison but has to bounce back after falling at Newcastle in November. Aso was a brave second behind TWO FOR GOLD at Warwick last month and that running might well be franked here. The Kim Bailey-trained selection is fancied to relish the step up in distance and as a younger, more progressive type, is fancied to find more than the 11-year-old Aso. Ladbrokes Trophy hero Cloth Cap is also taken seriously with the drying ground in his favour ahead of a Grand National tilt.

Christopher Wood finished second behind the talented Cadzand at Kempton over Christmas and confirmed the strength of that form when successful at Musselburgh in February. A 7lb rise makes life tougher for Paul Nicholls' charge, and perhaps THE SHUNTER still has a bit in hand. Emmet Mullins' Greatwood Hurdle winner finished third over fences in a valuable race at Leopardstown four weeks ago, and could relish this return to hurdles on better ground. Faivoir has won three of his last four and may also go close.

Something looked amiss with Eritage when he was last seen pulling up at Ludlow, and an 80-day break will need to have done him the world of good. Cedar Hill found just one too strong over C&D in December and has had a wind operation, but ECLAIR D'AINAY might take some catching. A winner at this track two weeks ago, the Dan Skelton-trained seven-year-old doesn't have many miles on the clock for his age and can defy a 7lb rise.

Salvino won a point-to-point in October and is interesting on his Rules debut. Donaire is a half-brother to a bumper scorer and the booking of Brian Hughes catches the eye, but this can go the way of SAYADAM. Kim Bailey's representative cost 60,000 euros and with the yard enjoying a fine season so far, the four-year-old is fancied to thrive under a likely positive ride by David Bass. Jomont has displayed promise in two starts and might also go well for a long way.
