LILLY PEDLAR has been found a great opening in this novice hurdle. Nicky Henderson's charge was disappointing at Sandown last time but is back up in trip and finished a good third in a Grade 2 at Newbury two starts back, form which reads well in the context of this race. Gerboise Borget and Dancing Dani are the dangers, but Chantilly Haze looks up against it.

APACHE CREEK was entitled to need his first run since October when he returned at Ludlow in late March, but he picked up from where he left off at Wetherby and there might be even more to come. The Macon Lugnatic has a top 5lb claimer on his back and ought to run well, but the main danger is Looks Like Power, who will go on the ground and might be tough to peg back if the recipient of an easy lead.

A good novice chase for the time of year, and MILL GREEN makes plenty of appeal on the evidence of his best hurdles form. He bumped into a good one on his only previous chase outing and his latest seventh behind subsequent Grade 1 scorer Galopin Des Champs in the Martin Pipe at Cheltenham is very strong form. Monsieur Lecoq carries a penalty for his emphatic Leicester success and heads the list of dangers from Mr One More.

MARBLE MOON and Tudors Treasure both scored over track and trip last week and make appeal here under a 7lb penalty. It is the former that shades this, having looked to have plenty in hand at the business end of that eight-length success, and the nine-year-old represents a team that do well here. Montanna is only 1lb higher than when a staying on second at Uttoxeter earlier this month, while Peur De Rien is a smart operator and also noted.

Peter Bowen has his string in excellent form, currently at a 38 percent strike rate (6-16), and ALFA DAWN makes plenty of appeal to continue the excellent run for the stable. She contested a trio of juvenile hurdles in the autumn of 2019 but she is with a handler who is more than capable of producing one off a long absence. Mr Shady has displayed ability over hurdles and is likely to enter the reckoning, while recent Newton Abbot scorer State Crown is respected off a 3lb higher mark.

Maliboo rewarded connections for a string of consistent efforts by getting off the mark at Perth last time and is open to further improvement, while others to note include Beau Haze and Presuming Ed.
