A disappointing turnout and the Paul Nicholls-trained MICK PASTOR is strongly fancied to extend his winning run to four. The five-year-old has negotiated small fields with aplomb on his last three starts, winning with any amount in hand at Newton Abbot on his most recent run, and the J P McManus-owned gelding can take this before going on to better things. Sebastopol has found one too strong on his last five starts and that looks set to be the case once again.

NORLEY travelled well for a long way when finishing sixth at Hexham at the start of this month and, with the drop in trip looking set to suit, the six-year-old looks the most appealing option. Soul Icon responded well to more positive tactics when making all at Huntingdon last time and is respected, while Snug As A Bug has yet to finish out of the first two for this yard and is also worth considering.

The Jonjo O'Neill-trained AN TAILLIUR continued his progression when winning readily at Warwick on his return to action last month, registering his fourth successive win, and the five-year-old may take some stopping off a 5lb higher mark. Khan returned to form when scoring at Huntingdon earlier this month and should make a bold bid, while Gavrocheka saw out her race well when runner-up at Ludlow last time and cannot be discounted.

Pointed And Sharp was still in contention when falling late on at Stratford in August and he is of interest along with Caspers Court, who could have more to offer on just his fourth start over fences.

She is a full sister to Talking About You, who was a dual-Listed juvenile winner last season for Sean Curran, and, despite needing more time to develop, this appears to be a suitable opening for her career. Iliade Allen is another with a decent pedigree, being a half-sister to Galahad Quest, who is expected to make an impact, while others of note include Americano and Kayf Koli.
