Word Has It could be tough to keep out of the frame, while NH newcomer Alqamar, who is rated 93 on the Flat, is also respected.

Jonjo O'Neill's THEME TUNE took a step in the right direction when opening his account in a maiden hurdle at Ludlow and is expected to remain competitive under a penalty. Ulverston is a model of consistency and could be difficult to keep out of the frame if running to his mark on these terms, while there was plenty to like about Lanty Slea's bumper victory here last season and any money for him on his hurdling bow would be worth heeding.

Dr Richard Newland's GRIMM STAR shaped with plenty of promise when third on his stable debut at Hereford last month, form which has been boosted by the winner since following up. Cutting back from that extended 2m3f trip should suit the five-year-old and he looks sure to go close. Donladd has struck the crossbar the last twice and can show up well again, while Barnay is unlikely to be far away either.
