    Preview:

    GOLDEN LYRIC and Messidor have plenty in common coming in here. Both were beaten when market leader last time out. Those respective efforts came on the turf, on surfaces generally described as soft. One would imagine that Golden Lyric and Messidor will be better suited by the polytrack. The fact that Golden Lyric is the one that we most recently witnessed, about a month ago at Naas, edges this observer in the direction of Mrs Harrington's runner. The Lope De Vega filly was second here in a barrier trial during the summer, and going up to seven furlongs now might not do her any harm either. The Coolmore crew have Ever A Dream (Johnny Murtagh) and Hair Of Gold (Fozzy Stack), but this pair will need to step up on what they've shown to date. Hopefully the betting will give us some clues as regards the newcomers.
