    LOCAL LAW ran green on debut at Newmarket but still showed promise to finish fourth and he was backed into odds-on favouritism beforehand. The Dubawi colt looked more forward when second at Kempton in September, and an opening nursery mark of 75 could prove generous for Charlie Appleby's charge. Brunnera was third on the Rowley Mile four weeks ago and should enjoy this additional yardage, while Gordonstoun, the only winner in the field, is also respected after doubling his career tally over C&D three weeks ago.
