SWISS CONNECTION has been in consistent form in his two outings since returning from a break and his most recent second at Newcastle suggested he is more than capable of going one better on this occasion. Red Walls is back down to his last winning mark having not run up to scratch on his last couple of starts, while Kath's Toyboy appears to be fairly handicapped based on his form last year.

Mondammej has kept on improving in recent months and the return to the all-weather has seen him win two of his last three outings. That said, he faces a stiff opposition in the shape of FERNANDO RAH, who was an impressive winner over C&D on his penultimate start and the drop back in trip on this occasion might see him progress further. Caroline Dale has been in consistent form and a recent wind operation may yield some more improvement.

The drop in trip may only aid the five-year-old's cause as he looks to fend off the challenge of recent Newcastle winner Kingson and Allowed, who shaped well on her handicap debut at Wolverhampton last month. The booking of Tom Marquand can only enhance her claims here as she looks to gain a fifth career victory and could do so at the main expense of fellow course winner Homer Stokes, who must bounce back from an uninspiring display at Newcastle. Runner-up here last Friday, Visibility holds claims along with Jewel Maker.

Arlo's Sunshine produced another solid effort when third at the Essex venue on his latest outing and looks next best, while Sovereign Moon responded well to first-time blinkers when scoring under these conditions last time and is another to consider.

This race may be dominated by last-time-out winners VESPASIAN and Bare Necessity, with the former narrowly preferred on his first run at 6f, having shown plenty of speed when making all over a furlong further at Lingfield earlier this month. The experience gained from her debut clearly did Bare Necessity the world of good judging by her Wolverhampton success two weeks ago, where she had plenty in hand, and the daughter of Kodi Bear should prove a worthy opponent. North Lincoln gives the impression he still has more to offer and looks best of the rest.
