Laskadine built on a second at Hexham when scoring readily at Newcastle in December, but the handicapper has had his say and he faces a tougher task following a 10lb hike. Therefore, it could pay to side with the consistent course-and-distance winner OSCARS LEADER. He is 9lb higher than when landing this last season, but the form of his most recent efforts has been well advertised of late and he is also tried in first-time blinkers. Diodorus ran better than the bare form may suggest at Catterick last time and is another to note.
