Brian Hughes takes over the reins this time and he is narrowly preferred in this, with the recent Market Rasen winner Stonific looking a threat as he seeks his third successive win over hurdles. Bellaney Gem is also respected now switching back to handicaps.

The selection finished behind Amalfi Doug, who is engaged at Perth on Tuesday and is likely to be the biggest danger if taking his place. Solar Impulse is not be underestimated if bouncing back to form after his fall at Market Rasen, while Ardera Cross lurks on an attractive mark.

The daughter of Getaway still remains relatively unexposed in handicaps and is now stepped up in trip, which looks likely to suit. Golden Chancer may be the biggest danger to the selection after his recent success at this track, but now has to defy a 7lb rise. The Longest Day could still have untapped potential over this distance and is likely to feature here.

With the Jennie Candlish horses in great form it may be worth chancing FOLLOW YOUR FIRE, who returns to fences after a second over hurdles here off 4lb higher. War At Sea would be a big danger to all if brushing up on his fencing skills.
