In an open race, marginal preference is for BINT AUSTRALIA, who has finished second in her last three starts at around a mile, and this step up in trip can help her to go one better. Raymond is a winner over hurdles and he displayed plenty of promise when second on his Flat debut over 1m4f at Lingfield earlier in the month. The shortlist is completed by Yankee Stadium and Toora Loora.

SPIORAD was only beaten by a neck over 7f here last month and that followed another narrow defeat over C&D in December. A reproduction of either of those efforts would give the six-year-old a big chance in this. Artistic Rifles made a winning return to racing in the UK at Redcar in September and he cannot be discounted. United Front edges out Dawaaleeb and Daafr to be the pick of the remainder.

ZAMAANI showed plenty of ability as a juvenile and he confirmed his well-being by finishing a neck second to Mighty Gurkha in a Fast-Track Qualifier at Kempton last month. The first-time application of a visor can help the son of Night Of Thunder to go one better. Snash was not disgraced when last seen in the Group 2 Superlative Stakes and he should not be underestimated on his return to action. The other three have claims, but Uncle Jumbo is arguably the pick of them.

Providing he handles the switch from Fibresand to Tapeta, GHOST RIDER will prove extremely difficult to beat. The Dark Angel colt stepped up on his promising debut performance when bolting up over this trip at Southwell and, worryingly for his rivals, he could well take another step forward. As If By Chance has struck the crossbar here the last twice and might be sent home with another silver medal. Colinton makes most appeal of the newcomers.

NORTH WIND is 3lb better off with Kind Review for a three-parts-of-a-length defeat over course and distance 12 days ago and he could reverse that form en route to going one better in this contest. Kind Review has since finished a head second over 6f here and he looks sure to give another good account, while the dropped-in-class Lomu certainly isn't out of it either.
