Dual course winner Lady Elysia always merits consideration at this track but she has been raised 2lb for a photo-finish loss at Brighton last time and has no margin for error. Preference is for DECORA, who looked better than ever when scoring decisively over 1m4f at Salisbury on Tuesday despite not enjoying the smoothest of passages. On that evidence there is more to come from Sheena West's four-year-old and a 5lb penalty may not be enough to anchor her on a rattling fast surface which should prove right up her street. Course winners Toybox and Good Impression are others who enter the equation off their present marks.

Richard Hannon looks to hold the key to this fillies' novice event, saddling 100,000 euros newcomer Mount Rainier - a close relative of the Group 2-winning juvenile Viztoria - and SYMPHONY PERFECT, who sets the form standard. The market should provide the best guide, but the latter certainly looked as though she had an imminent win in her when a running-on, clear second in a similar contest at Chepstow last week. Having shown promise on her debut at Lingfield, the Crisfords' Lucky Shake took a step backwards at Wolverhampton next time but it's too early to be writing her off.

CLARENDON HOUSE is likely to be all the rage here - and for good reason. Robert Cowell's colt was quietly-fancied to make a winning start at Yarmouth earlier this month and ultimately obliged in fetching fashion, despite having been slowly away before racing freely in the early stages. With that experience to draw on, there should be significantly more to come and a penalty shouldn't prevent him beating the likes of Rose All Day and Kingston Star who head up the modest opposition.

Keeper's Choice invariably goes well here and took advantage of a tumbling mark when appearing to score with any amount in hand over C&D last week. A follow-up cannot be ruled out but, following a whopping 11lb rise, it might be that BORN TO DESTROY offers better value having shown signs of improvement in a first-time visor when only beaten two lengths in a stronger race over this C&D on the same card. Previous C&D winner Never Said Nothing has been knocking at the door on the all-weather all year and remains of interest off his present mark, but Greek Kodiac has more to do than when winning a Redcar seller last time.

An open-looking contest but there are grounds for giving TEMPLE BRUER another chance on the basis that his lacklustre effort at Ascot last time came on ground softer than ideal. Prior to that Ed Walker's gelding had looked firmly on the upgrade when winning a competitive heat at Doncaster on his seasonal return and there should be further races to be won with him off this sort of mark. Batchelor Boy had enough about him to dead-heat at Brighton last time despite losing a shoe and has to be considered despite a 4lb rise, while C&D winner Michael's Choice hinted at a return to his best form when third at Windsor last time.

PRECISION STORM - a much-improved performer on the all-weather this winter - went desperately close to belatedly opening his turf account over this C&D last month and gets an ideal opportunity to atone off just a 1lb higher mark with the Mark Loughnane yard in superb form. Uther Pendragon has gone 20 races without winning since obliging off a 1lb higher mark over C&D a year ago but has shown enough in better company of late to warrant consideration, while Hashtagmetoo is unexposed over this trip and could be a player if first-time blinkers have a galvanising effect.

The market is likely to be the best guide in this finale with so many exploitable handicap marks on show, and RODEO DRIVE is one who catches the eye in first-time cheekpieces. A half-sister to Group 2 winner Royal Julius, the filly didn't exactly get maximum assistance from the saddle when her apprentice rider almost took the wrong course at Windsor last time but she had earlier shown enough promise under today's rider, Luke Morris, to suggest that an opening mark of 65 might be underestimating her. Lexy Lou, Romulan Prince and Broadway Diva are others who look potentially well-handicapped, while the seven-time placed Accrington Stanley remains hard to rule out.
