VERTICAL THREAT, a cosy winner on his last two starts, appears to be firmly on the upgrade and can make light of this rise in grade. Law Abidin Citizen ran a close third in a Grade 1 here earlier this month and will have his backers, while Flagstaff usually gives his running at this level. Giant Expectations, absent since a fruitless tilt at the Breeders' Cup Dirt Mile in November, is also feared.
